As Omniya List developed its social gifting registry, key engineering challenges had to be tackled:
Preventing duplicate gift bookings and double purchases by syncing state changes under 100ms.
Ensuring high reliability and low latency during peak shopping and holiday seasons (e.g. Christmas, Eid).
Building an intuitive, collaborative sharing system for wishlists across iOS and Android.

Event-Driven Lock Engine: Created an active-lock reservation backend that prevents dual gift purchases with 100% accuracy.
